University Preparation Course

The University Preparation Course is for students who intends to enroll in universities and vocational schools in order to work at Japanese companies in the future.

The purpose of this course is to obtain N2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

Students who acquired N3 of JLPT will be able to continue studying in the International Liberal Arts Communication Department (due to open in April 2015). In this department, students will be able to study for one year to expand their knowledge and prepare for N2 of JLPT.

N2 is generally required to work at Japanese companies.

This course will help you to improve your Japanese language abilities and achieve success in your endeavors.

Text book

For students who wish to study welfare care or dental hygiene, we have the Certified Care Worker Department and the Dental Hygiene Department. After graduating from these courses and securing national qualification, students will be able to transfer into the third year of university to fulfill their academic requirements.

Admission Requirements
  • Completed 12 years of formal education abroad
  • By the time of application:

    Be certified as higher than Japanese level JLPT N5, J.TEST F grade, Nat-Test 5, or Beginning C of TOPJ.

  • Possess a clear purpose for Japanese language study and /or future goals after graduation from IGL.
  • Apply no later than 5 years after graduating from their previous school.
  • Be able to provide proof of financial resources for tuition and other expenses throughout his enrollment in IGL.

  • Have no previous record of applying to another educational institution and having their application for a“Residence Certificate“ rejected.

  • Age restrictions; from 18 to 21 years old (High school graduates), up to 26 years old (Junior college graduates), up to 29 years old (University or College graduates).

Cerified  Care Worker Course

This course is for graduate of medical vocational school, junior college, universities.


After graduation from our program, many of our students continue their studies at universities or colleges to get their full diplomas. While some students choose to work in the social fields in Japan, others go back to their home countries to work as leaders in their fields.

Text book

Social and Welfare education in Japan has the highest criteria in the world. Japan is an advanced aging society, and it makes Japan very special in this field. You can learn highly-advanced Japanese knowledge and techniques at IGL.
We hope that you will utilize what you will have learned at IGL and help to develop your country’s social welfare system.

Admission Requirements
  • In addition to completing 12 years of formal education abroad, graduate of medical vocational school, junior college, university.
  • By the time of application:

    Have equivalent Japanese level to JLPT N3 or 400 at EF grad of the J.TEST.

  • Age restriction; from 18 to 21 years old.
  • Be able to provide proof of financial resources for tuition and other expenses throughout her enrollment at IGL.
  • Possess a clear purpose for Japanese language study and/ or future goals after graduating from IGL.
  • Have no previous record of applying to another educational institution and having their application for a “Residence Certificate” rejected.

Nurse National Qualification Course

The National Nurse Qualification Course is for students who have a National Nurse Qualification from China.


Text book Students who graduate from this course and work as a nurse at hospitals and facilities for elderly people for more than three years in Japan will be able to get financial support.
Admission Requirements
  • Besides completion of 12 years of formal education abroad, prospective students need to have completed a three-year or four-year nursing college in China, including 97 or more credits (more than 3,000 hours) of nursing study recognized by the Japanese Ministry of Health and Labor and Welfare.

  • Age restriction; from 19 to 30 years old.
  • Females only.
  • Be able to provide proof of financial resources for tuition and other expenses throughout her enrollment at IGL.
  • Have a National Nurse Qualification in China.
  • By the time of application:

    Be certified as JLPT N2, or higher than 500 at A-D grade of J.TEST.
  • Possess a clear purpose for Japanese language study and /or future goals after graduation from IGL.
  • Have no previous record of applying to another educational institution and having their application for a“Residence Certificate“ rejected.
